O my God, I have sinned. I secretly printed 10 pages of my Eucharist Holy Hour booklet using the office printer and paper. How many of you have done something this and felt bad later?

Perhaps you could contribute a little to the office kitchen supplies to make up for it, like a jar of coffee or some nice biscuits. Or perhaps buy a few people a nice fruit bun for break?

I’m still thinking about fruit buns.

Now I’m thinking about Eton mess! You see how the stain of sin spreads!
😳

I think he was thinking out loud…in text, not an easy thing to do

When I was not in management, I would always ask permission before printing out personal things. When I moved up, I was aware of the corporate policy and acted accordingly.

Printing black and white costs an average of $0.07 per page, some color is around $ 0.15 per page. If you print a page were everything is color it can cost $0.60 per page (we keep this list for when people want to use our printers here in the office).

Your company surely has a policy, I would inquire about it and going forward follow it.

prayers of contrition. Sounds like that was what the OP was doing
I thought the same too.

Though I will say that for myself, I prefer omitting the “O” and just starting with “My God” as even in the right context, “O my God” still reminds me too much of a 13 year old’s speech.

Don’t be scrupulous. Accidentally doing something is NOT sinning. You say secretly— did you do it purposely? Perhaps venial if you didn’t have permission. Which can be rectified by either not doing it in the future OR asking permission.

10 pages of copy paper is de minimus. Of course we should be good stewards of work resources, but what you describe is not a mortal sin.

Work five minutes off the clock, or longer than you are supposed to. Buy some salt and pepper and leave it in the kitchen. Something little like that and chase it out of your mind.😉

Same here - not easy to get ink except for small inkjet printers, so got extra paper instead.

Ah, I joined a decade ago according to my profile! Thanks! I knew it wasn’t my birthday! LOL

Sorry, then I’ll need to take the cake I gave you back, but you can keep the wine.

🤨

No worries, it was just a little confusing. Enjoy the cake! 🙂 I’ll enjoy the wine!

The printer is for office use only. There are no rules but i cannot live with the conscience that I had “steal” something from the office.
