It does not recognize Jesus Christ as God. This is a generic force that can, supposedly, be used by anyone. It is not scriptural and it is not scientific. It is baloney.

It is not the Truth, it is a manipulation of the Truth and the father of all manipulation is the Evil One. Don’t invite him into your life. Call upon the Saints and Angels to combat this temptation. It is not of Divine Origin. Just as the Evil One used the good things of the Garden of Eden to manipulate Adam and Eve, he manipulates us now in the most of subtle ways. That’s why we have the guidance of Jesus Christ’s Catholic Church to help us when we wander. Just listen to the Church on this subject and you’ll be okay.

Why not use the way He has ordained? Why choose your own path? We can’t have Jesus our own way, but His way–it is the only way that leads to true healing, the healing of the fallen soul.

I can see there is no convincing you. ah well. What is right for me may not be right for you. WE all have differnt spiritual needs. You have been taught that anything outside of Christianity is evil for your whole life, so it would be exetremely difficult, if not impossible, for you to do research abotu reiki and see what it is and isn’t.

Look, we spent the entire last few days on another thread explaining, quoting, referencing, etc., etc. the dangers and incompatability with Reiki and Christianity/Catholicism - you, myself and plenty of others, all people of good faith. You ***know ***nothing else needs to be said about it, we’ve referenced ourselves to the 'nth degree.
Are you trying to induce us into exploring Reiki or are you really that unaware of the teachings of the Catholic faith?

Just from this statement it shows that you are not well-versed on what the KI is… You have stated that posters have not researched Reiki but yet you post and say KI is like the Holy Spirit…
Tell me then… since KI is composed of Yin and Yang (or IN and YO in Japanese) where you have energy opposites that need to be kept in balance… Is the Holy Spirit an energy of opposites? Or are you just going by whatever it is you are taught in Christian Reiki…
It is ridiculous that anyone can equate YIN and YANG with the Holy Spirit.
If illness comes through an imbalance from ones KI then there is an imbalance of either Yin or Yang… How can you then say prayer and energy manipulation are the same thing? It is not the same. When one prays it is God’s will as to whether he chooses to answer our prayers or not.
I don’t think you even have an idea of what the Christian concept of the will of God is or what prayer is… And if you don’t even understand these basic concepts then I can see how you can easily believe in everything that these New Age Christian Reiki groups are teachings you.
You cannot manipulate an energy and expect that God will just do whatever you want… God is God and I am not God to just manipulate an energy at my whim and boom God will perform a healing just because I want it…
This is twisted thinking and there is nothing remotely Christian in it…
If this may seem harsh so be it… I am just tired of those who are not even well-versed in the basics of the Christian faith and want to push their uninformed ideas on Christians and expect us to believe that a new age belief system and Christian beliefs are the same when they are obviously not.

yep. “new age”, “yoga”, basically “hindu” stuff. stay away. there are plenty of tested, tried, and true devotions and such available through the centuries. the new stuff is bad stuff in disguise. stick to what is safe.

That is also my impression of the OP.
That’s why I feel so disheartened for many Christians who are easily deceived due to lack of knowledge of their own faith.
The Bible says “My people are destructed due to lack of knowledge.”
People in “New Age” are fascinated by the supernatural and take God as a magician. There is no “will of God” but will of their own. Some Christian New Agers may experience supernatural effect from the dark power and mistakenly think that is from God.
Usually if a person’s faith in God and concept of God is not solid, the person will be more likely to explore into stuff such as New Age. Devils are rude and forceful. When a person willingly but unconsciously open himself a crack to the evil, the evil spirits will barge in. Satan is like a roaring lion, looking for people to devour.
Then the dark power pretends to be the angel of light, further induces the person by giving him some so-called “benefits”. The person then is further hooked. The spiritual realm is real, spiritual warfare is serious. We have to be very careful.
Hopefully with so many of us try to help OP out of love, one day the truth will be realized.

Reiki is definitley spiritism, …while i was still seaching in the past, i became involved a bit in it [without really having knowledge about it,],eventually found out that it it pure mixture of ancient beliefs, and does not refer to christ at all being our savior], you will end up[with reiki of course] saying" i can master my own life", when our only master is christ, and not to mention the ammount of money one has to pay for each seminar,when christ gives freely and with great abundance, if you are still not sure please go here to the church’s document[christ bearer of life] on new age, may you will find your answer here and in the most blessed sacrament, in jesus’ presence vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/interelg/documents/rc_pc_interelg_doc_20030203_new-age_en.html

I remember reading how a nine year old girl did a school paper based on her experiments with Reiki as a healing method. Her experiments, which her mother who is a registered nurse helped her with, proved Reiki to be a bogus method of healing. In fact, the experiments were accepted by the American Journal of Medicine.
Also, there have been some recent scientific studies on alternative healing methods and science has shown they are ineffective.
So, apparently with the bad press, Reiki practitioners now needs to turn to something that science won’t have an easy time proving as being bogus.
