Does anyone know where I can find a good “uxor tua” with modern musical notation?

I’m getting married and we have a singer friend who would do it if we could find one with modern musical notation.

Thanks

Is something like this what you are looking for? Uxor tua (Scapin, Massimo) - IMSLP: Free Sheet Music PDF Download

ETA: This one is for SATB, though, so you would need more people than just your singer friend. I did a little search online, and all the arrangements I could find of Uxor Tua in modern notation are for mixed chorus rather than a soloist. Maybe your best bet would be to take the simple Gregorian chant version and have someone who knows both chant notation and modern notation “translate” it into modern for you.

Even in chant though, it is meant to be sung by a choir or schola. Graduals are not really solo pieces. A cantor can be used to lead off the incipit, but the usual practice is for the entire choir to sing the first part, then a schola the second part although theoretically the second part could be done by a cantor, but (s)he’d have to be really good, the second part of a Gradual is the hard part.

Thank you for that piece of advice. We don’t really have the option, though, but we will figure it out.

Good to know. That would be why all the arrangements were for choirs, I guess. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I have never been to a wedding where it was done.
