Vaccination - Mortal Sin?

Is it a mortal sin to use vaccines that have been developed by aborted fetal cell lines if an ethical alternative is available?

I would not knowingly do so, but are there in fact any such vaccines?
 
The IF there is a pretty big one. Currently there aren’t a lot of good options, at least in the US. Previously the MMR was available in separate doses, so I could get my kids the measles and mumps shots (which are still in circulation here) and skip the rubella (the abortion-derived vax that is essentially eliminated in the US.) These separate shots are no longer available.

What alternative vaccines have you found??? Just curious…

Yes, there are numerous vaccines developed from aborted fetal tissue. It’s disgusting. But, it’s a fact we must live with.

Several years ago Children of God for Life asked for, and received, clarification from the Vatican regarding the morality of vaccinating with such vaccines in cases where there are no ethical substitutes (and in some places these vaccines are mandated by the government).

COGFL also advocates for the development of ethical vaccines and have had some success.
