I really don’t see what the big deal is. You can go out for a nice fish dinner if you must celebrate Valentine’s day.
We don’t really celebrate, so :shrug.
Whew! I had to read that response twice. On first reading, I thought you meant you had turned cannibal… eating your kids and your wife. Then I re-read it to mean the candy and the meat.
My wife doesn’t like fish at all. Plus we don’t go out to eat (or order in) during Lent.
We don’t do anything huge for Valentine’s Day. Generally a small gift and maybe ordering takeout. The kids get a present or two and usually some type of candy or chocolate. But still nothing we want to do on Ash Wednesday.
