Valid Aboslution?

The priest who normally hears my confession will sometimes say, “I absolve you and take away all your sins in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
Is this a valid absolution?
 
Yes because he is communicating to you that he is remitting your sins.

I would personaly ask the priest to use the formula according to the liturgical books, especially if you know he’ll do this from past experience.

Yes. The priest should not be improvising at all. Anything that would even make you question the validity of the absolution is very serious.
 
Short answer. Yes, your sins are forgiven. The intent to make a valid sacramental confession was present. If you feel a little uncomfortable with the Priest’s wording of the absolution, you might consider mentioning it to him.
