I was recently enrolled in the brown scapular of Our Lady by a young priest. He followed the formula of the prayers but did not sprinkle holy water on the scapular or on me. Is the investiture still valid?

The use or absence of Holy Water does not alter that your scapular was blessed and that you were invested with it.
