I submitted this to the ask an apologist forum, but I think it belongs here.(I’m new here) Anyway, here is my issue:
I went to the sacrament of confession and have a question. The priest left out the words “from your sins” and said "I absolve you in the name of The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Is it necessary that he include the words “from your sins” for the absolution to be valid. I have a tendency to be scrupulous and would appreciate help with this issue. Thanks!
