Valid Confession?

At confession yesterday, I was in the middle of recounting my sins, when the priest stopped me and asked a question about something I’d said. I answered him, and then he went right into the benediction/absolution. The problem is that I wasn’t done confessing, including a potentially grave matter. So, now I need to know: was this confession valid, since I was unable to confess everything? And if so, do I need to confess those sins that I wasn’t able to confess, since it was through no fault of my own that they were un-confessed?

My main concern is receiving the Eucharist at Mass on Sunday, since I won’t be able to make it to confession tomorrow.

It was valid, the sins you confessed were forgiven. If you feel you need to go back again and actually get them out you can still do that . There is no problem going to communion with the confession you just had.
