I have Celiac disease (severe gluten intolerance). The host used for consecation is a low gluten, wheat and valid for consecration. It is placed on a separate paten and placed on the credence table to await to be plaed on the corporal for Consecration along with the other bread. Occassionally, the altar servers forget to bring it to the altar, and the priest forgets it there, as well. It remains on the credence table throughout Consecration, and then when the priest begins to distribute Communion, they notice it and bring it to him. I’ve questioned the priest as to this being a valid Consecration. He insists “yes” because he intended to Consecrate, but it was just forgotten to be placed on the altar/corporal. Is this true? Is this valid Eucharist, or am I each time receiving unconsecrated host? I find this troubling. Please clear this up for me. Thanks,
