Honestly, this “validity” argument is based on a moot point burdened by a scholastic definition of validity given by Pope Pius XII in the 1940s. Exact formulae given by one pope in an encyclical just 70 years ago are not as important as the decision of the whole Church. The worldwide Catholic Church accepted the 1967 ordinal as valid, and has continued to use it.
With regards to its supposed deficiencies, there is no matter to discuss. Would I personally prefer it to be clearer and more exact? Of course. This does not mean it is invalid. Those who have faith in formulae instead of faith in the Holy Spirit should probably re-examine their motives of credibility in Christ and His Bride.
