Well, indeed, Paul, I sympathize with you. We have sophists, un-lettered parsers of minutiae who gleefully post out-of-context, difficult texts that require commentary and expert analysis, all to pronounce…ultimately, after all the obfuscation…that what happened to the liturgy under Paul VI was more or less business as usual.
SFD can prevaricate all he wants, but Paul – known for not reading every page of what he signed and for trusting underlings with immense responsibility – promulgated a heretical liturgy. It was almost immediately removed from the shelves and rewritten (gee, again, that’s the risk you run when you allow a liturgy to be FABRICATED and then don’t actually READ every word of it before you sign it).
Again, if you want the slightest education in the liturgy reforms, read the immensely well-documented 900+ pages of Bugnini’s book, the man most responsible for the new liturgy. It’ll answer many of your questions.
