One of the priests in our parish will place the water into all of the vessels of wine (both the chalice and the communion ministers’ cups) and another will only place the drop of water into the chalice. Are both consecrations equally valid?
 
Yes, both consecrations consecrated all of the vessels. The adding of water is a matter of ritual and not validity.
