Is the Novus Ordo mass valid? What about those who claim it to be invalid?

There seem to be two possible responses:
  1. Yes. They are right.
  2. No. They are wrong.
Now, where were we?

I don’t see any likelihood for disagreement among the posters on this topic. It’s not like those topics that bring out intensity or criticism of other posters.

It’s because the ones who did/do get banned very quickly.

Yes, the Ordinary Form of the Mass is valid. It was approved by people with authority to approve it. Recent popes say this Mass, and act as if it satisfied the Sunday obligation.

Personally I sometimes go to the EF, and wish it was more available, and presented to Catholic students as a still valid and desireable option.

Yes, the Ordinary Form (OF) of the Mass is valid. It is advisable to avoid the term ‘Novus Ordo’ because too many people use it pejoratively.

Those who claim that the OF Mass is invalid have set themselves us as knowing better than the Church. I would recommend such people be given a wide berth. They are not good for the health of one’s soul.
