Validity of the Ordinary Rite disputed by my friend

Here is what it boils down to - no matter which exact words are used or not used - if the Church says it is a valid mass, then it IS a valid mass. Christ gave the Church the authority on earth and her decisions are supported by Christ himself.

Yes, Byers, this is what I believe because this is what the Church teaches. Some posters here apparently resent my report of this priest, because they focus on my story instead of offering assistance. What I started out as request for help has turned into an expose of certain Angry Trads On Parade, trolling the threads for a fight to fuel their anger.

The several “doubting members” posts are just how my friend reacts to any positive statements I make regarding the OF: the conversation always deteriorates into an argument - I feel certain posters ‘baiting’ me the same way he does.

I JUST NEED ADVICE ON GETTING HIM AWAY FROM THIS PRIEST’S CULT - AND ANGRY TRADS NEED NOT REPLY - THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR YOU, OR ABOUT YOU. PLEASE GO PESTER ANOTHER THREAD. :takethat:

The problem is, that without any concrete knowledge of what this “Priest and his cult” actually teach, if it is in fact outside of the Church and whether or not it even exists, any advice that anyone could give you would be meaningless. Pointless.

You see we have only vague, generalized fairly canned anti traditionalist statements, third hand statements at that, from which to work and draw conclusions.

Without any more information there can really be no answer forthcoming. Your outright refusal to give any information that could assist us in this determination actually weakens your whole argument. Further, your rebukes and obvious hostility towards, how did you label us, angry trads?, further exposes what appears to be your true motives.

If you were truly concerned with helping your friend, instead of beating this anti traditionalist drum of yours, that you have long been beating since your first posts on CAF, by the way, then exposing this “cult”: shouldn’t be much of a problem.

At least I don’t see how it could.:confused:

In case you haven’t noticed, no one is paying the slightest attention to this thread now except you and I responding to you.

I think that speaks volumes my friend. Everyone else has apparently seen through this charade of yours.
