Valley Teens on their way to Steubenville LA

busload of teens from the valley are on their way to Louisiana for the SW version of the Steubenville summer youth conference. ask for prayers for them, their chaperones, and all attending. My grandkids, nieces and nephews have attended these conferences with stunning, awesome, life-changing experiences. most of what I know that is real knowledge (not ersatz, dumbed down PC knowledge) of the Catholic Faith has been gained from Steubenville adult summer conferences. a beacon of light and truth on the sometimes dark “Catholic” college scene.

Merciful and loving Father, we beg You to smile down from Your Kingdom upon these young hearts, the very future of our faith. Guide them with Your Holy Spirit into the fulness of the gifts they have received. Graciously send Your Angels to minister to them along the way and as they share and learn their faith. Lovingly call them to unity in faith, and may they be pleasing to You as they go forth and boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We ask this through the same Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
 
WOW, I actually met a group of teenagers and young adults coming from Chicago last night on their way to Steubenville on the Bayou!! ( I live near New Orleans)
I am also going to the main Steubenville Conference for teens in 5 days to the one held in Ohio!!

A group from our parish is on their way there too! I pray they have a safe trip!
 
I will say a prayer for all of those traveling with the intercession of our Dear Blessed Mother, for their safety and for their spiritual needs and for all of your intensions.
 
Our youth group is going there this friday! We went to a Steubenville teen conference in Georgia last year and it was amazing (albeit exhausting at the end). I especially loved the Eucharistic adoration 😃
 
update, kids are back and have shared some of their experiences, far greater than their expectations. saw a group in church last week in their Steubie So T-shirts, special thanks to adults who went as chaperones at their own expense.
 
I’m playing in the house band for the Steub Mid-america next week. Prayers for us and the teens please.
