Interesing dilemma, on that relief thing - it’s like your husband had to commit the sin (be the bad guy - which guys are accustomed to playing) to get what you both maybe wanted.

I know sometimes I play the bad guy in our relationship.

I would consult with a priest on that one.

You are absolutely correct. The Doctor is under no obligation to inform the wife. It’s called HIPPA. When I had a breast reduction, I had to sign a paper saying WHO the physician could talk to after the surgery.
It’s the right to privacy my dear. Granted the husband should have told his wife, but blame the guy not the doctor.
