Thanks, Midwest Dad 5. I just had a vasectomy reversal done by Dr. Thomas Sommers on Monday. I googled the name and found his site called Midwest Vasectomy Reversals.
I checked with the medical board for Missouri to make sure he was licensed (he was) and check his complaint record (no complaints). I asked a million and one questions once I contacted the place. His wife, Kathy was responsive with every question I asked. The one thing that really impressed me before going was that this was his apostolate. He had his vasectomy reversed and he believes this is his calling to help others to do so at an affordable price.

The day of the vasectomy, we met at his office. He talked about the procedure and my concerns. After the procedure, we also talked about what I needed to do and the “next steps”.

The procedure itself was really painless - much better than the vasectomy itself. I brought an iPod to listen to but ended up talking with he and his nurse. He was also able to check the fluid from my vas deferens to see if there was an semen (there was some), which is good:thumbsup:.

Today is day three, and the usual symptoms he described were going to happen did happen. I pray that God will allow my wife and I to have children again after the mistake I made many years ago. I will update the forum when we start the process. Prayers please!
I was originally 1 1/2 months out from when I contacted him. I asked him to put me on a list if anything opened up earlier. The wait went from 1 1/2 months to two weeks.
