Actually, what would be most impressive is if there was anything approaching stability in “non-heterosexual unions.”

Well, speaking as somebody who was a virgin until a week before she married (hey, we were young - 24 [me] and I felt a sense of daring) the man she’s been married to ‘forever’ (two girls almost through college) and with a still continuing love affair, I’m continually impressed by anything approaching our ‘stability’ heterosexual or not.

Actually, I continue to be impressed by our stability. Erm, change that, I continue to be amazed by our stability but I’ve felt like that every morning for a very, very long time.
 
After all this time, I think the scandal of our pre-marriage daring is something even our daughters would be equipped to deal with.
