Vatican condemns killing of leading Pakistani Catholic
The Vatican has strongly condemned the killing of the only Christian member of Pakistan’s federal cabinet, saying his death today shows that Pope Benedict XVI’s warnings about the danger to Christians in the region were fully justified.

Shahbaz Bhatti was such a great man, now a martyr of the Church… R.I.P Shahbaz.

This is what they want-- for the “big bad” Vatican to condemn them. What we should do is to proclaim him a martyr (not in the official sense, since that probablh takes time), and have events marking this. Martyrs bring a lot of grace into the world. If we were to do this for all the Catholics killed by them, then they would eventually stop because it wouldn’t be going the way they want it to.
