I posted a link to an article written by an FSSP priest (so in good standing) explaining why the EF mass is objectively better. And we get annoyed when we give said clarifications and then get smacked with an infraction. Are you sure TrueLight is baiting? You might be baiting…
I am not sure, after all the Personal Prelature is an invention of Vatican II.So, how 'bout that personal prelature, huh? Think they’re gonna go all the way this year?

We are getting a few young men from Nigeria in the seminary here in Texas. We had one ordained in our diocese just a week ago. They sound like quite orthodox and caring people. We also have some sisters from Nigeria that stay in our diocese and they mean business when it comes to orthodoxy. In the Diocese of Enugu, Nigeria, the office of the Bishop banned faithfuls from attending Traditional Latin mass held by SSPX. Infact ,faithfuls have been compelled to go for confession for daring to attend traditional Catholic mass in Enugu Diocese. I pray that the church fully reconciles with SSPX and other traditional legitimate groups to restore the true liturgy, because Catholicism as practiced in Nigeria, though growing like weeds is,Pentecostalism, where praise worship, pelvic dances and heathen acculturation are mixed with distorted 3hrs mass, that can better be described as a fund raising occasions.
Vocation in Nigeria cannot be taken for granted since,Bigard Memorial Seminary,Enugu,is regarded as the biggest seminary in the world. But the question is, with the vocation boom , what manner of Priest is Nigeria chunning out?
Tilt.I am not sure, after all the Personal Prelature is an invention of Vatican II.![]()
Boy are you gonna make a lot of people made with this one on both sides of the aisle.I’m not sure what he means either.
That’s all that I can see.
- If he means that we can ask questions, this is true.
- If he means that the documents don’t carry authority, this is false.
- If he means that they don’t all carry the same weight of authority, this is true.
- If he means that they don’t all affect the same group of people, this is also true.
- If he means that they contain dogma that has already been defined, but they do not define dogma; therefore, their commentary on dogma can be debated, this is also true.

I am so excited about the possibility of the SSPX being back in full communion and I am developing a real liking toward Bishop Fellay; however, I am greatly discouraged by reading things like the latest homily of Bishop Tissier and hearing comments from some of the priests and seminarians of the SSPX. I suspect that the SSPX is facing, even if for completely reasons, similar problems to the Legionaries of Christ and they will need to undergo very limited but big cultural changes that will be extremely hard to accept. I say hard to accept not for the Society but for each individual that is a member of the Society, organizations can change very fast with their rules; however, the hidden culture is controlled by the people and usually people do not like change.Tilt.
Sure it might make some people mad, but if you believe the Church is what she says she is, nothing Brother said is controversial.Boy are you gonna make a lot of people made with this one on both sides of the aisle.
Greetings Brother, can you elaborate on what you mean by the “Bishops Conference” being part of the decision making machinery. The decision making machinery is the priests council, deanery, Bishops Conference, and Conference of Major Superiors (male only). The prelature has neither a voice nor a vote in any of these . . . as the paradigm exists now.
Never said it was wrong or controversial. Just said its gonna make n a lot of people on both sides mad.Sure it might make some people mad, but if you believe the Church is what she says she is, nothing Brother said is controversial.

What Br. JR said may be controversial, but he’s not wrong on those points. Not everyone wants to hear that though.Never said it was wrong or controversial. Just said its gonna make n a lot of people on both sides mad.
And it probably already has.![]()
