VATICAN FESTIVAL RUSSIAN SPIRITUAL CULTURE
The Papal council of Culture announced about plans to conduct a 2 day festival of Russian spiritual Culture. The above undertaking will be brought about with the cooperation of the Moscow Patriarchate.
ArchbishopGianfranco Ravasi president Papal Council by Culture announced that Mitropolit Volorolamskij Ilarion president of Department of External Ecclesiastical Connections of the Moscow Patriarchate will lead a delegation of Russian Orthodox Church which will arrive to Rome for festival of Russian culture, planned for 19-20 May.
Before arrival in Rome the delegation of Orthodox Church also will visit Ravenna, Milan, Turin, and Bolonia. The undertaking of 19 May will include a presentation of photographs about contemporary life of Orthodox church and a symposium about combined efforts of Catholic and Orthodox leaders directed to preserve the Christian identity of Europe.
Mitropolit Ilarion will lead Divine Liturgy in Orthodox Church of St. Ekaterina in Rome which will be celebrated 20 May. Evening 20 May in one of Halls of Vatican, the Russian National Orchestra will give concert in honor of Pope Benedict XVI>
