So… as a follow-up:

Why was Vatican II interpreted as it was? If the Church and the Pope cannot teach error, what is Vatican II?

I’m just confused by this, it seems as though pretty much everything that sprouted from Vatican II has been a disaster, how then is Vatican II not error?

1.) Because people did not bother to read what was there, they just took it on the say-so of alleged experts.
2.) Not everything that sprouted from Vatican II can be labled a disaster.
