What truth? You were offering opinions. Do you even recognize the difference between truth and opinion, specifically your opinion?Sometimes the truth hurts.

Of course not! Only the Pope can teach ex cathedra. An Ecumenical Council can’t.There weren’t any infallible doctrines spoke Ex Cathedra at Vat. II.
Do you follow the Pope’s instructions on CITH?The documents of V2 have been misinterpreted under the guise of ‘spirit of V2’. The documents didn’t say to rip out altar rails, receive Holy Communion like Protestants, turn the priest’s back to God, etc. The ambiguous nature of the documents means it is easy to follow; it just depends on the ‘interpretation’. If it’s left to the laity then anything goes (as we’ve seen). As Catholics we are suppose to follow the Pope’s instructions. If everyone did that then there wouldn’t be so much confusion and division in the Church today.
I live in the U.S., where CITH is not an indult. Regardless, the Church approves it, so I accept it.Yes, CITH is approved by indult. The Church does not teach it unless you can show me documents or anything other than a third century quote about making your palm a throne. There was a lot of acquiesence post V2 and the Church stopped enforcing its authority.
Mark, ‘hate’ is a severe word that I would appreciate you not using on my behalf. I don’t practice nor approve of CITH as centuries of tradition support.
There are other threads on CITH. Could you both please post any defences there and help keep this thread on topic?
Catholic Church teaching. What specifically must we adhere to?
You lost all of your credibility after one sentence. I wonder if there’s a prize for that.Pope John Paul II was a disaster for the Catholic Church.
What did he do that was so great for the Catholic church? Was holding hands with all other Christian denominations and religions warrant him sainthood? Western Europe lost its Catholic identity under him. Catholic bishops in America didn’t pay attention to what he said. Many Catholic colleges in America don’t even teach Catholic doctrines. What did he do about it? nohing. Father Groeshall said that only about 20 Catholic colleges out of 200 actually teach Catholic doctrine. I really don’t see what he did that was so great. How great could he had been if the liberal media liked him? There is a red flag right there. You lost all of your credibility after one sentence. I wonder if there’s a prize for that.
A guy whose likely going to be a Saint was a disaster. At the very least he’s Venerable. If that’s the case…man, I hope I can be a disaster for the Catholic Church.
Yes, but ex cathedra is not the only form of infallibility. Otherwise, why would we accept this at all. The dogma of papal infallibility was promulgated at Vatican I.Of course not! Only the Pope can teach ex cathedra. An Ecumenical Council can’t.
I don’t think it is a rules violation to smear the good name of one of our greatest popes, but it should be! The Pope is not a dictator, He is a shepherd. The Church cannot force anyone to be faithful. And as far as ecumenical dialog, it is called being faithful to Jesus Christ. What did he do that was so great for the Catholic church? Was holding hands with all other Christian denominations and religions warrant him sainthood? Western Europe lost its Catholic identity under him. Which pope’s instructions? Paul VI, who was in charge when CITH issue arose ruled against it and asked for COTT to be retained. Benedict XVI only give COTT.Do you follow the Pope’s instructions on CITH?
Specifically?Catholic Church teaching.
Yes of course ex cathedra is not the only way of teaching infallibly.Yes, but ex cathedra is not the only form of infallibility. Otherwise, why would we accept this at all. The dogma of papal infallibility was promulgated at Vatican I.
Take your pick, Popes Paul VI, John Paul II, or Benedict XVI. In the U.S., CITH was and is approved by all of them.Which pope’s instructions? Paul VI, who was in charge when CITH issue arose ruled against it and asked for COTT to be retained. Benedict XVI only give COTT.
Specifically to what specific teaching?Specifically?
