Let’s take a look at your requests:
Stricter Rules: On what?
Kneeling: Vatican II didn’t eliminate kneeling in any way
At least one TLM Mass offered: Vatican II did not change the Mass. That was a promulgation of Paul VI. Have you ever seen the Mass of Paul VI done in Latin with proper reverence? It’s quite beautiful.
New requirements for priesthood: Again, that’s rather vague. Such as?
Start working towards the way the Church was at the Council of Trent: How so? I assume you mean AFTER the council of Trent.
More traditional: In terms of?
Go back the way before Vatican II: In terms of?
Keep in mind, many of the traditions that you may have cherished (devotions, the mantilla, etc) were local customs and rather current ones at that. I think you may be shocked if you actually went back to the days right after Trent.
As for the Second Vatican Council, I understand your frustrations, but the council caused nearly none of them. Vatican II was actually a rather boring, conservative council when you read it’s documents. It reaffirmed every Catholic doctrine and practice. It reaffirmed and maintained the Sacred Liturgies in Latin, clerical celibacy and the authority of the Holy See. Probably it’s most fundamental change was the was ecumenism was looked at. Certainly, the doctrine of the Church was confirmed, but the Church thought it may be best to reach out to the world with the faith, instead of sitting in our one place and waiting for the world to come to us.
The change the Sacred Liturgies and the introduction of the Novus Ordo Missae were POST Vatican II changes. When the Novus Ordo is done as it was meant to be done, it is actually incredibly beautiful. Perhaps in a way that the Mass of John XXIII was beautiful in its complexity, the Mass of Paul VI is beautiful in it’s simplicity.
However, the near elimination of the Latin Language, the re-orientation of the priest and the altar, the lack of Gregorian Chant and the introduction of low-quality music, the abuses the we see constantly have bastardized a beautiful Missal.
So you see, before you throw the baby out with the bath water, let’s get rid of the abuses and bring the Church in LINE with the documents of the Second Vatican Council, instead of this nonsense that is referred to as “the Spirit of Vatican II”. 40 years later, we’re just starting to get a handle on things. You might be pleasantly surprised after a few more decades.
