Very short article, see link.

Sadly, this must mean, the coronavirus is somewhat embedded in Italy but it’s not the end of the world, it just means, we all need to be on guard.

Needless to say, pray for Italy, pray for the Vatican, pray for everyone.

I’ve said some few times before, I’m not that comfortable with a lot of the intermingling about, I’ll leave it at that. Best to be safe.

I follow the Catholic Traveler social media page run by a tour guide who lives in Rome. I also have a friend who’s in Rome right now on business and posting about it. Rome’s pretty empty, they took all the holy water out of the Vatican days ago, roped off the statue of St. Peter so no one would be kissing his foot, and instead of there being like 20 early morning Masses in the Vatican before the tourists come there’s like 1 lately, and the regular morning Mass for anyone to attend has like 3 people at it instead of the full room.

Apparently the local people of Rome are enjoying seeing their city with less crowds, but all the businesses that depend on tourists are really hurting. The hotel room rates are super low.
