Well there’s the problem. Veneration and worship are not the same thing. 🙂
op said that he respects the saints, asks for intercession. that is said in the ccc. what ccc doesnot say is that all relics should be bowed at

I’m not talking about the CCC. I’m talking about the constant practice of the Church from the time of at least St Polycarp till today. Catholics are not Sola Scriptura and neither are you Sola Catechismum. At least I sure hope not. Faith is to be lived and practiced and not just read about. Veneration of relics makes an essential statement about basic Christian doctrine. If the veneration stops you risk losing that essential truth.

i am not sola anything except sola living fide.i agree with you. but, the bible, catechism and Tradition(capital T) don’t say that you should bow and kiss a relic. i understand that op respects saints, whether he calls it veneration or not. a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.

You can just touch the Relic and then make the sign of the Cross, you can touch your Rosary, Crucifix, Medal etc. to the Relic you can also press the relic to your head etc. there are number of ways of veneration.

Thank you. Rosary idea seems nice. 👍
