I’m just having a gentle whinge here, sorry.

An ultrasound this morning confirmed my doctor’s fear that our unborn baby of 12 weeks had died and I am miscarrying. Though it is so early on, most of our small town are aware ofthe pregnancy and are still congratulating us.

This afternoon, my 17 year old eldest daughter was admitted to hospital on suicide watch. She is having difficulty coping with the demands of study at present - she is well behind in major exams as she spends her time playing games etc on her phone and has the worst mother in the world who attempts to insist that she study. Hubby and I are finding her increasingly difficult to deal with as she contributes nothing in a physical or financial sense to the running of the household (she has a part time job) and is instead increasingly verbally offensive and rebellious. I am trying very hard to be sympathetic to her menral health but am feeling mentally drained and increasingly resentful of her poor example for our 7 younger children. Thank God our next few children are excellent leaders and very helpful.

Anyway, sorry to whinge -I hope I’m usually positive - but some prayers would be ver much appreciated.

I think both those things are very worthy of a vent!!!

I’m so terribly sorry for your loss and will keep the situation with your daughter in my thoughts and prayers…

I am so sorry for your hurt. The loss of an unborn child is very painful indeed. My prayers are with you through your struggles, and with your daughter in her struggles as well. Ask our Mother Mary to pray for you, but also ask her to pray with you. I have no doubt that she has sat by my side and consoled me when I needed it most.

Your need to vent is understandable. Praying for your family. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

The loss of a baby is always difficult, and until the moment the ultrasound confirms that loss, there is always the feeling that there is still hope. :console: For all of you mourning this baby.

And a daughter on suicide watch is truly horrible too. Had a few episodes with my elder daughter, so have an inkling of how this feels too.

Yes, lean on Mother Mary to help you through both these events.

I am so sorry for the loss of your unborn baby. And teenagers can be a trial for sure! Hopefully your daughter will come around and be less rebellious and more helpful. Prayers for you and your family.

I think perhaps taking your daughter out of school, having her get a full time job and pay board might be helpful. If you pay for her phone. stop. It is amazing how working 8 hours a day saps your desire to play. Tough love. And I am very sorry about the baby.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

I am so sorry to hear about your sadness. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I read your rant and thought I have nothing to say to this poor woman. I opened it up again to try. I truly understand feel your sadness for the loss of your unborn child you will be in my prayers this evening if not in a few minutes. And one other thing it is impossible for you to be the worst mother in the world. I am. Just ask my middle son.

Annie

That is a perfectly acceptable rant. Wow, You are really going through a hard time. Please know that I am very sorry for Your loss, Our Loss, (I say Our because that Child would have been a member of our human family). Please be assured that You and Your daughter are in my prayers. St. Rita, please pray for us!

mrsd7 I am so very sorry for your loss of your baby and to hear of your troubles with your 17yr old daughter (((hugs))) xo…my heart goes out to you and I shall keep you all in my prayers.
God bless you

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Praying for you and your family

Thanks so much everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

I was feeling very alone last night - even poor hubby has been feeling the strain so I didn’t want to stress him further so it was lovely to have others to share with.

My elder girl should be home today. I will trying to keep in mind that, thank God, she is alive and she could be a lot worse - she doesn’t drink or smoke and her friendship circle is limited (possibly part of her problems) so she doesn’t sneak out etc.

Thank God also that we have many other blessings in our house and I can remember these today 🙂

God bless you all for your kindness to us at this time.

I am so sorry for your loss and I am so sorry that your daughter acts the way she does.

I pray that God give you strength and comfort during this time of grief, loss and stress. May He envelope you with his calm and peace. I pray that He surrounds you with friends and family who can be a source of comfort, solace, and support for you.
