Verbally cursing myself

Sometimes I do this out of anger of falling into sins again specially if it is mortal against the virtue of purity. I feel like a hypocrite in front of our Lord. Is verbally cursing myself also a sin? Because if it is, I really need help and prayers.

I don’t really know the answer to your question but I can say that cursing yourself doesn’t equate to humility or praising Christ. We shouldn’t be boastful, certainly, and we should avoid everything that involves self righteousness and self indulgence, and we are to put others first… ‘count others better than yourselves’, or at least equal… ‘love your neighbour as yourself’, yet we are also called to love ourselves somewhat too… ‘he who gets wisdom loves himself.’

It also depends on what you mean by cursing yourself, I guess.

When you sin, ask for forgiveness, get to confession and resolve to sin no more.

Look at the Stations of the Cross. When Christ fell, he did not curse himself or anyone else, he got back up still carrying the cross.
