Does anyone know if they will be relasing the revisions of the Liturgy of the Hours in the Ordinary Form for the United States anytime soon? Will they be translating the 2004 Roman Martyrology in English anytime soon?

I think that question has been kicking around here since the new Missal was released. Other than sheer speculation, I sure haven’t seen anything even close to semi-official hints about this. And even if someone were to say “soon,” isn’t Roman “soon” 3 - 5 years?

Don’t hold your breath. The bishops did approve going forward with work on a revision, but I haven’t even heard that they’ve started yet.

Okay, so I’d be save to start buying the current Breviary then?

Have not yet seen the 2004 Martyrology (not yet in English I believe)…only have the very old one.
