Verses about Quenching the holy spirit?

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what does sacred scripture say about quenching the holy spirit and is this a forgivable sin or not? And if not, why not?

To quench the Holy Spirit is to “douse the fire” that dwells within you. When you commit a mortal sin, the Holy Spirit departs from within you. Repent from mortal sin and confess your sin, and the Holy Spirit will take up His abode within you once more.

The Holy Spirit does not leave you if you commit a Mortal Sin , it is the Holy Spirit that encourages one to repent,
now if a person is living a sinful life and has turned their back on God, I would agree, the
Holy Spirit is asleep in that person, but he is still there inside of him.

No, the Holy Spirit does leave you, because you, by fulfilling the 3 premises of a mortal sin, 1. full knowledge, 2. grave matter, 3. deliberate consent, you, in effect, tell God, “I do not want.”

You tell God, in full understanding that you do not want him. This is why mortal sin is a block to grace. You place the block where grace enters in.

Once you turn back to God, then the Lord will come back into his temple in you. Otherwise, He will not stay unless you choose for him to by staying in the state of Grace.

Yes, He encourages you to repent, but He is no longer in the tabernacle of your soul when you sin mortally. He tries to get you to repent otherwise. God never sleeps.

No the Holy Spirit does not leave you. The Holy Spirit stays in you, now you may be suffocating him, but he is still there in you.

The Sacraments are indelible. Their graces stay with us. The Holy Spirit is always with us.

Now, we can cut ourselves off from God, or keep pouring cold water on His inspirations because we can’t be bothered with doing His will, or discourage other people from following the Holy Spirit. But that doesn’t mean the Holy Spirit is gone; it just means we’re closing our eyes and stopping up our ears and refusing to notice Him.
