can you please provide scriptures on these subjects
  1. purgatory

I have a few verses but please provide on the verses you have. any help will be appreciated! Thanks.

Also for intercession where the “One Mediator” arguement is used to rebuke intercession: If “One Mediator” meant that we can only go directly to God without anyone interceding on our behalf, then why did God send Nathan to David instead of going to David Himself? And why did the angel of God go to Mary, instead of God Himself? The answer is because God wants us to share in His work. As Scripture testifies, Christ indeed is the One Mediator…and He uses us to share in His priesthood and in his work. If what [some] imply is true, then it is logically sinful for any of us to ask another to pray for us. “Sorry, [insert name here], I can’t pray for you because we have One Mediator and for me to pray for you in against Scripture.” But we all know that this is false…especially since it makes Paul and the other Apostles heathens as well. Stephen, for example, as he was being martyred for the Faith…offered up a prayer for his killers. Was he wrong in doing this since “we have but One Mediator”?
 
Jesus Christ prayed for the dead (when he prayed for Lazarus). He also said that “[God] is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Paul prayed for Onesiphorous after he died, “may the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the lord on that day” (2nd Timothy 1:16-18).

“After his death, Jesus went to preach to the Spirits in prison” (1 Pet 3:19)

“Nothing unclean can enter heaven” (Rev 21:27)

These too hint of purgatory.

The Early Fathers spoke of a place after death where expiation is made for sins. St. Paul also speaks of such a place in Scripture. In 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 he says: “If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire (itself) will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire.”

Clement of Alexandria: The believer through discipline divests himself of his passions and passes to the mansion which is better than the former one, passes to the greatest torment, taking with him the characteristic of repentance for the faults he may have committed after baptism. He is tortured then still more, not yet attaining what he sees others have acquired. The greatest torments are assigned to the believer, for God’s righteousness is good, and His goodness righteous, and though these punishments cease in the course of the expiation and purification of each one, “yet” etc. (Stromata 6:14 [A.D. 202]).

I Timothy 2; “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone …This is good, and pleases God our Savior …who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

We also pray to live people in heaven.

Anytime you want to find verses like this, aside from certain websites like scripturecatholic or catholic.com, do a Google search for “Catholic Apologetics ____” and put in the topic you want in the blank. Sometimes you can find even more good stuff.
