I’m not sure I understand what you are describe when referring to the neighbors living in “the front of the house.” If by that you mean they built an addition that is infringing on the boundaries of your property, or that they made their front lawn into their living room, they simply cannot do such things. Most cities and villages have set back requirements as to property borders, side,back and front. This includes even the innocuous equipment shed.

Plans are supposed to be submitted to the Zoning board prior to the start of construction. They are supposed to present plans/blueprints to the zoning board of your city/village, and if you live in a normal, fairly well administered municipality, they simply couldn’t have obtained a permit without the submission of these documents-not legally anyway. Therefore, it appears that they have put up an illegal addition. You should contact your zoning department, building department, and even the board of health,provide them with photographs and give them a time line as to what has been done. This isn’t just an issue of making you uncomfortable, they have lowered the property values of you and everyone else who owns property in your community. I can tell you at the very least, they will not be able to sell the house, since they cannot possibly have obtained a Certificate of Occupancy for the addition, and that will haunt them down the road and they may be forced to tear the structure down.

I have been a legal assistant for 21 years and worked with a lot of real estate sales and purchases, and after a major addition, the owners of a home need to have a building inspector come in to inspect. If the home passes the inspection, they can get a CO. My guess is that they never even obtained a building permit. Please go talk to the building inspector and the zoning board ASAP. They may make these folks tear down what they built illeglly, and DON’T cave in and feel sorry for them. They broke the law, not you.

Hello! I need a prayer for this person & family that is being so very BAD to us for several years now. they are our neighbor. I can say it is over 20 years now that they are always make sure that they are testing our patience & they always do things that will insult us. Years for now I am always praying to God about our problem with them. The first incident, again, years ago, they are living in front of our house. what they did is, they extend their house, capturing half of the street in front of us. My mother ask them to remove it because it is blocking the road. but the father of their family yell to my Mother and throw several bad words towards us. My Mother called the police & the Captain & the authority forced them to remove it because it is against the law. to make the story short, they sell part their house and move beside it. But still, until now, they are putting some of their things in front of our house. Our new neighbor in front of us just block that side & they made their entrance on the other side because they are in corner side. They put 1 billiard table, 1 mini house, & a store with gas stove. Every night, they are very loud, my Mother got irritated again & ask them to leave, but they fight back. about 5 to 7 of them yell at my Mom & throw several painful & insulting words to her. I hold my temper to prevent the fight. At that moment, I talked to God and ask for his guidance & help about that very long problem. I almost beak down while I was praying. Very Bad is the only way I can describe them. very very bad & I am/we are suffering with it ever since. Please help me to pray for my problem. please.

The Lord suffered and we as Christians will suffer it is our cross that we must pick up daily and with love and compassion forgive all. Pray for those people who offend you and I will too. But remember that God loves them so we are to love them as well. It is not easy and it can be unbearable but we must try as best we can to love those who don’t love us. After all , it is easy to love those who love us, but Christ commands we love those who hate us. Your reward will be great in Heaven , look upward and find peace in Christ words and his Holy Catholic Church. I believe you will be delivered from this evil one day. My prayers are with you my brother.
