Please pray for me. I am still feeling the effects of finding my friend of 30 years dead last month. Couple this with every thing else that could go wrong and did over the last 5 years, I am overwhelmed. I have lost two close friend of 30 years just months apart and so much sorrow over these past years, I am at my wits end and God does not seem to be helping me. Maybe he will hear your prayers.

Hello lakotak – 20 July 2014
In Jesus I join with you in your sufferings. Do not suffer alone. Jesus does Love you and is very aware of all the things that happened. I join with Jesus and you … and together we ask God’s Love and Mercy and Power AND WISDOM.

Jesus often felt very, very down. Jesus did NOT walk by sight but by FAITH & TRUST.

I pray for you comfort / and for peace in your heart / and for great faith and trust in God’s mysterious Love for you.

Scripture tells us > In all things (good and bad) give thanks.

God has been at work in you, lakotak, and is continuing His Work. Join with Jesus in walking The Way. Blessing … JohnJFarren

Latotak, I haven’t lived your experiences, but I suffer from chronic depression. I know what a burden it is to carry. I pray to for you and with you … We ask our merciful God to help keep you moving, help you get stronger, help you see the light.

**Lamentations 3:55-58 **

I called on your name, Lord,
from the depths of the pit.
You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears
to my cry for relief.”
You came near when I called you,
and you said, “Do not fear.”
You, Lord, took up my case;
you redeemed my life.

A prayer against depression

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

By St. Ignatius of Loyola

Don’t give up, friend! :signofcross:

hello friend, please don’t despair. God loves you very much and I’m sure he hasn’t forgotten you or any of his children . Keep talking to God, pray and He will hear your prayer surely… and you will be comforted by Him. He has your best interests in mind.
In moments of anxiety, I use this free app developed by Pauline Books and Media called Light a Candle. I recommend you download it if you have a smartphone… perhaps it could help you with its comforting truths about God’s love.
Also you should try reading Trusting God when Life isn’t easy. You can read it online at:

Courage friend, you are in my prayers. Also before I forget pray to the Sweet Blessed Mother, she underwent so much suffering in her life, possibly more than any other human. She will help you to be strong and bring you to Jesus. You could pray the Seven Sorrows rosary.

God bless.

Take HEART, dear friend in Christ! JESUS wept at the
funeral of a loved one of his friends(John 11) He lost
his dear dad on earth and He knows what you are going
thru, it is the human condition to have to say"Good-bye"
to someone!

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

I know how you feel. I had a coworker who committed suicide this past February. I didn’t even know her…but her death really affected me.

Don’t get down. I find that doing works of charity (like praying for the dead, having Masses said, etc) gets me out of myself…

May the peace of God carry you through this hard time. I’m saying prayers for you.

Through the intercession of St. Dymphna, may you find comfort. Amen. :crossrc:

Dear Latotak,
You are not alone, even when it feels as if no-one cares or can possibly know how much you are hurting.
Just lean on Our Lord. He knows. He cares and He loves you.
Tell Him how angry, sad and afraid you are. It’s o.k to ‘rant’ at Jesus. He understands grief in all its stages and will walk beside you every step of the way.
I pray that God will bless you, ease your pain and through His Grace give you positive hope for the future. :console:

** Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us,
give your aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace,
console the lonely or brokenhearted,
comfort the lost or hopeless,
guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger,
and guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen :crossrc:**

I will pray for you. I struggle with depression as well while navigating through many hardships… so know that you aren’t alone.

Praying for healing of your sadness.
Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is woith Thee.
Blessed art Thou amoungst women,
And blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Prayer in Time of Bereavement

Dearest Jesus, who wept at the death of your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant us the comfort of your presence in our loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct us
lest we make hasty or foolish decisions.
Send Your Spirit to give us courage
lest through fear we recoil from living.
Send Your Spirit to bring us your peace
lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret take root in our hearts.

The Lord has given.
The Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Amen.

O sweet mother Mary,
who knew the sadness of mourning those your heart loved most,
Jesus, your Son,
and Joseph, your devoted spouse,
pray for us in our time of loss.

Amen.

Praying for your intentions. Praying for the repose of your friend’s soul.

I will pray for you. May you find peace through prayer and intimacy with Christ.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

It seems that God is not there, but He is. Call upon the Lord’s name, invoke Him. He will come. He never abandons us. To me He sent His mother. She can help as well.

I will pray for your intentions…God bless.

Praying for you, lakotak. May Our Lord, through Our Lady, give you the graces you need at this particular time of your life:

Merciful Jesus, we trust in You!

We take refuge under thy protection,
O holy Mother of God,
Despise not our prayers for lakotak
in his necessities,
but ever deliver him from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
