Last year, at this time, I was already stressed to the bone. I was premed and my classes had proven exceedingly difficult, I hadn’t gotten a job, and was trying to absorb everything all at once (being away from home, first year of college, being in the city). This time around, I feel great. I switched my major to International Relations, got a job at one of my favorite restaurants (where I get to use my language skills), have connections to a few internships I want, I enjoy my classes, and life feels good.
I think part of it is because I’m using more energy, I’m more focused, I’m more familiar with the city and what’s going on, and I grew up a lot last year. And of course, I’ve let go of a lot of control and gave it back to God, so I trust in Him more too.
For the first time, I feel like I’m doing everything I’m supposed to be doing.
Praise Him
