Very Important Work Presentation

HI, All.

On Wednesday, I have to give a presentation at work in front of an audience of about 150 people. Presentations are kind of standard in my line of work, but I’ve never had to give one in front of this large of an audience. While I typically do fairly well, sometimes my anxiety and shyness (which I’ve struggled with all my life) turns into full blown stage fright, and I can’t remember what I was supposed to say! I’m so afraid that’s going to happen!

May I please ask for prayers for confidence for Wednesday and to do well in this presentation? It would mean a great deal to me.

Prayer for Presentation

Almighty God and Father,
please help Denise in her presentation.
Help her face it with courage,
steady in nerves and keen in mind.
Lord, grant her success, if success is good for her,
For you know what is best for each of us.
With loving trust therefore we say,
“Whatever the results, blessed be your holy will.”

Jesus had to present His teachings to not
only His friends, but His peers, the Pharisees,
those who need to hear Him, those who wanted
to trap Him in His words… He WAS NOT REMEMBERED
for that, DeniseNY!!! He was remembered as one
who was a Victim of Love, Faith and Hope, all for
the Church, His Highest Joy!!! Think about THAT
when you are giving your talk! What will most people
remember YOU for?

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
 
If you can say your presentation 5 time through without looking at notes or any other references. You will do great.

I learned that in college.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

You have my prayers for confidence and doing well in this presentation. I was in your same boat once upon a time and I found when I gave my presentation to the larger audience, oddly enough of about 150, much larger than my typical ,it was actually easier.
The faces all seemed to blur together and I focused on many faces who looked interested while maintaining eye contact with the room at large.

Praying my heart out for you to do very well. Practice at home; also I always read my notes right before I went to bed the night before which really helped me. Good luck!

It went well. I still felt really nervous before it and during (I felt like I couldn’t breathe), but I also think I might tend to be too hard on myself. Everyone there told me that it was really good (and one of our directors who attended with me said he would send an email today to my management with good comments about it).
