Jesso,

It looks like you’ve received some great advice and are more than willing to act on promptings your recieving from the Holy Spirit. Those of us who have experienced those powerful spiritual promptings and acted on them can attest to the surprising, miraculous ways our Lord can change situations. Trust that God will bless you abundantly, but be ready to work for it. You are engaged in a spiritual battle.

I’d like to add one suggestion. Learn to pray the Rosary and make an effort to pray it every day. I did this as I was being moved to remove myself from a sinful situation. What I viewed as impossible situations suddenly took unexpected and completely unforseen turns. I truly believe when we try to align ourselves with Gods will, heaven and earth will be moved to help us if we only ask.

Remember, God’s time is not our time. Sometimes we’re asked to step out in faith, but ALWAYS we are loved.

“BE NOT AFRAID”

I hope you will continue on your journey home to the Catholic church so you can enjoy the immense peace and joy of the sacrament of confession. It is confession because you can finally honestly tell Jesus exactly what is in your heart and what weighs on you, and sacrament because you realize He is really with you.

Meanwhile, you need to be very honest and realistic about this relationship. He says he loves you, but refuses to make a permanent commitment to you and your child or children. He says he has personal demons he needs to deal with before he is ready for marriage, but has no problem involving you with these problems now without the benefit of marriage. He wants sex, but not the responsibility, expense and demands of another child. Cannot make a judgement about your personal situation, but statistically it is almost zero chance that after 10 years he will marry you. Is this truly what you want for yourself and your children?

You have accepted part of Catholic teaching about marriage and sexuality having realized the damage that is done by contraception and abortion, and I bet you will be a very good witness and evangelizer to others because of your experiences. However, the morality of sexuality, marriage, family and children all hangs together, as others have tried to explain during this discussion. Do you feel it is wise to trust your future, and the future of possible additional children, to this man who does not seem to express concern for you and them equal to his concern for himself and his own needs? he must indeed have some very good qualities that you have stayed together this long, and that are part of the reason you love him.
