In your parish…

If there are assisting priests in the celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday, do they wear choir dress and stole or do they wear alb, stole and chasuble?

I attended the 2015 Good Friday Liturgy in my aunt’s parish. The assisting clergy wore Mass vestments.

By definition, they should not be wearing “choir dress” if they are truly assisting as concelebrants or functioning as deacons. They should wear Mass vestments—alb with stole and chasuble/dalmatic.

If they are seated “in choir” well then, they could wear choir dress (obviously).

However, by custom, or by necessity (a parish only has so many red chasubles), they could wear choir dress.
