Eternal Father, in the name of Jesus, please give to victims of abuse the grace and wisdom not to allow others’ verbal cruelty to destroy their vision of themselves as loved children of God.

Bring to light the plight of abused children, youth, women and men. Numerous infants, children, adults and elderly are abused or neglected. Rescue the abused from dangerous situations, and provide them with healing and safe environments. Let their grievances cry out for repentance and healing of their murderers and persecutors, and plead for their own loving protection.

Heal those who are crushed or wounded and cowed by others’ abuse. Grant grace that their abusers repent of their cruelty and neglect. Please shock and heal abusers into reforming. Surround their victims with Your light and love, and inspire them not to remain victims after the abuse is over.

Our Father and theirs, let it be that all persons, born and unborn, will come to be received with the welcome Christ offers to each person, in gladness, care, hope, blessing and love.
 
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.

To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Victims of Verbal and emotional Abuse). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into the body’s of Victims of Verbal and emotional Abuse’s and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer of Healing for Victims of Abuse

Praise to You, Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, source of all
consolation and hope. By Your Son’s dying and rising, He
remains our light in every darkness, our strength in every
weakness.

Be the refuge and guardian of all who suffer from verbal
and emotional abuse. Comfort them and send healing
for their wounds of body, soul, and spirit. Rescue them
from bitterness and shame and refresh them with Your
love. Heal the brokenness in all victims of abuse and
revive the spirits of all who lament these sins.

Help us to follow Jesus in drawing good from evil, life
from death. Make us one with You in Your love for justice
as we deepen our respect for the dignity of every human
life. Giver of peace, make us one in celebrating Your
praise, both now and forever.

Amen.
