I change my position. If in Britain doctors are funded by the government and get exemptions on duties based on religion, then this woman should to. It’s a bad idea and i hope it doesn’t cause to many problems.

Just because some temporal punishments might no longer be in effect, doesn’t mean that God’s laws are null and void. The only laws that no longer apply are the dietary laws. The moral law is still in effect.

Very European? Well…that makes sense, we are in Europe after all. As Kaninchen says, healthcare has been free in the U.K since the 1940’s, doctors are still allowed to operate according to their conscience and this registrar is too.

Except you don’t see adulterers demanding that we recognize their lifestyle.

Of course, the fact is that it’s no longer seen as a sign of shame or scorn by society might mean we already recognize it.

But homosexuals want to corrupt the institution of marriage for their own benefits. Adultery and homosexuality destroy what God intended, but in different ways.

It’s already accepted and mainstream…I hear advertisements on the radio for jackandjill.com, a web site specifically created for men and women to hook up and have affairs.

A large percentage of people will cheat on their spouses and some point in their lives.

Heterosexual cheaters don’t need to lobby government for change, their lifestyle is already here, advertised, accepted by many, shush shushed about and is mainstream.

Odd that there aren’t endless threads on these forums condemning people for missing weekly mass or for cheating on their wives?

The only difference in this regard between homosexuals and adulterers is that the adulters corrupted the institution of marriage when it became legal (and easy) to have a divorce.

Adultery always occured. It used to be that people who choose to leave a spouse to live with another were ostracized by their family and community (dependent on where and when they lived). These days it is normal. That is largely due to the fact that it is now legal to divorce and remarriage and with that change it law has some social acceptance.

The worse thing for marriage was divorce and remarriage. Homosexual unions don’t come close.
