It is disturbing that one cannot take the Bible with him into Saudi Arabia.

That speaks tons.
AND while Muslims and others may go to the Vatican and enter the Basilica of Saint Peter the same is not true regarding non-Muslims and Mecca and the Ka’aba.

Even when I visited the third most holy town in Islam in Morocco in 1973, Moulay Idris, it was out of bounds over-night to non-Muslims - the ban was lifted in 2005.

I could post evidence here, but all I need to do is google violence in the bible and there is enough for me to post here but just like the violence in the bible, any references to it in the Quran are for defensive measures/protective measures. Not just to sit there like sheep for wolves to attack. And just like the bible, it preaches about mercy and forgiveness FIRST we have a saying in Islam, **if u want God to have mercy on u show mercy to others. ** and so the violence is only a last resort to defend urself from invading forces etc…

With regards to whats going on worldwide, like I have said to so many, u don’t look at the people to represent the religion u look at the book and scriptures and the Prophet. I cud look at KKK or South African apartheid or Black slave history or the Crusades or everything else going on but I don’t. I respect Christianity and all it preaches as it is the same as Islam about mercy and peace and the only thing I see it that I choose to worship God rather than a Prophet of God.

Actually, the Bible does not teach, “mercy and forgiveness FIRST” as you stated. It only teaches mercy and forgiveness, and if necessary death by your persecutors. Nothing about fighting back in the New Testament.

You’re getting “Violence in Holy books” and “Calls to violence in the name of your Holy book” mixed up. If what you’re saying is that Christians were racist, the Crusaders killed and Africans segregated while quoting the New Testament, you’re so wrong. Jesus never called for violence, not ever. Muhammad did. Therefore the Jesus of the Bible is morally superior to the Muhammad of the Qur’an or Hadith.
