Well since we know there area lot of anime fans, I’m sure a lot here are avid video game players too 😃 I’m sure a lot of you ‘old folks’ must have played some older titles too.

I don’t own any systems other than a PC of course, but I play with friends etc. What are some of your favourite titles that you’ve played? Mine are (but not limited to):

Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Greatest Game EVER!)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Silent Hill
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Silent HIll 4: The Room

Devil May Cry

Super Mario Brothers 3
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Brothers 64
Super Smash Brothers Melee

Resident Evil 2

Age of Empires + Rise of Rome expansion
Age of Empires 2 + The Conquerors expansion (Most addictive game ever)

Zelda and Metroid fan, all versions. Also, the Final Fantasy serious up to about VII.

THE GREATEST VIDEO GAME EVER MADE:

RBI Baseball for regular old school Nintendo. This one came in the black cartridge.

Fallout saga, Baldur’s Gate saga, Icewind Dale saga, Might & Magic and Heroes of Might & Magic series, Age of Empires 1 & 2, Civilisation 2 - these are my favourites. Used to like the Europa Universalis games and I’m beginning to like the Neverwinter Nights series. I used to love car racing games and probably still do, but I haven’t played any much for ages now.

Honorary mention for the games I played on old PCs from XT to 486. 😃 Ah tempi passati… hehe. 🤓 😃

Comand and Conquer anything, wonderful stuff, and that old Imperialism game, awesome!

Greatest games ever have to be Zelda Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye (n64), and mariokart64.

I LOVED that game! Sadly, I no longer have an N64. =(

I am a HUGE gamer. I own Xbox, PS2, Game Cube, GameBoy Advance, and Super Nintendo.

Some of my favorite titles are

Xbox: Dead Or Alive 3, Halo, Soul Calibur 2, Star Wars: KOTOR and Ninja Gaiden and Astro Pop (ranked 22 overall)

PS2: Final Fantasy, all of them, especially X.

Game Cube: Zelda: Windwaker, Pikmin 2

GBA: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Super Nintendo: Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island.

My favorite game of all time has GOT to be Tetris for the original NES. Although my NES broke, I still keep my Tetris cartridge with me when I move around. =)

I play Xbox Live quite a bit, mainly Halo 2, but am looking for more Live games to get into. If anyone else here plays, shoot me a message and I’ll give you my gamertag. =)

IL2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles

Age of Empires II: Conquerors Expansion

LOL @ Genesis315. 🙂 I remember that game. It was a lot of fun.

I still have my Atari 2600 and I went out and bought on ebay an Intellivision (which I never owned til then) so I could play the greatest video game ever: TRON: Deadly Disc

I enjoyed most of the Atari games (especially the earlier ones like Combat) especially Frogger. Too many to name.

I loved the Racing game on Intellivision.

I was sadly addicted to Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo. After exams my buddy and I would rent some video games and just play them for as long as we could without having to attend to our personal hygiene. Ones that stand out to me were the RBI Baseball and also something like Metal Gear or Heavy Metal or something. If the game had an automatic fire button, we were there.

I got a Nintendo64 and my son and I finally reached the end of DK64.

As far as PC games, I enjoy the Myst series: Myst, Riven, Exile (haven’t finished yet) and it’s rip-off’s (started Schizm). I loved Medal of Honor:Allied Assault.

Played Halo (Halo 2?) on XBox and that was fun.

That’s all that’s jumping out at me at the moment.

Genesis315 - part of my smile is that my buddy and I would play RBI Baseball and no matter how high I could run the score during the game, he always managed to make a come-back and the end and either make it close or beat me.

Hahaha, that’s awesome. But tell me you didn’t play “straight pitch.” I have no respect for those who played straight pitch.

You gotta love when you can hear the bacon sizzle when someone steals. haha, I also had a friend who could play the music on his violin. That game has the best glitches too: the ball that gets stuck in the stands, the homerun that goes through the base of the fence at the foul line, etc.

Who’s your favorite team?

Mine is Boston. I always pinch hit immediately for the Killer B’s (Barret, Buckner, and Boggs). They were all choke artists. I had Henderson first, Burkes second, and Armas (and his 43 bombs) third. Boggs with his .357 average sat whil Spike Owen and his .231 average played. He would hit it just soft enough to beat it out. . Likewise, I was always loathe to bring in Stanley and Schiraldi to pitch (aka Gas Can and Lighter Fluid), they never put out the fire. But with Clemens and Hurst i was unstoppable. Plus with that lineup you knew you’d get run support.

Usually though, we’d draw teams out of a hat, to keep it fair (no all stars allowed unless its AL vs. NL)

Can you tell I’m a little obsessed, :bounce:

I’m still smiling from reminiscing Genesis315. It’s been YEARS since we played. I’ll have to dig it out again.

I don’t remember exactly what teams we played or how we picked them.

And yeah, the base stealing was awesome! I remember there being glitches (which is how I think he won half the time or made his comebacks) but don’t recall what they were. Except maybe I think sometimes the player would throw the ball to the outfield instead of to a base?

Now I REALLY got to dig it out!

XBOX - Got to be Halo, KOTOR, Chronicles of Riddick, Fable

PS2 - All Final Fantasies, All Metal Gears, Devil May Cry, All LOTR, Soul Calibur, Resident Evil

PC - Baldur’s Gate, Battle for Middle Earth, Doom 3, Dawn of War, All the Age of Empires/Mythology, etc (Most RTS and most RPG)

As we have all 3, we get to choose which games go better on which. Although KOTOR II is meant to be better on PC, we loved the user friendliness of the XBOX for the first one so stuck with it for the second. Some friends have the first one on PC and said the controls are really difficult…

Lemonade Stand on the Apple II series. I was talking about it the other day also Hard Ball (a baseball game on apple II).

Chrono Trigger.

Best game, ever.

I mean, in how many other games does the main character and hero die to save the world from absolute destruction and then is later resurrected to do so again?

Mutlitple endings, wonderful gameplay with double and triple techniques, drawn by the guy who did the Dragonball series, great graphics for the SNES and a plot line that makes you care more about the story than leveling and beating the game.
Well, that’s my opinion anyway…

I finally got around to playing Metal Gear Snake Eater. I am so dissappointed. How are you supposed to play without the little box in the corner that shows where the enemy is looking and moving? It ruins the whole game. Solid Snake was so much better.

I like playing video games, but usually when it’s against someone. I don’t play by myself very much (any more). I try not to play too much, otherwise you waste a big chunk of your life.

Here’s my favorites for…
PC: Age of Empires 2, Conquerors Expansion. (Rise of Nations is good too.)
Gameboy: All the LOTR and Super Mario
X-box: Halo 2

Halo 2
Killzone (nicknamed “the root canal” here)

PC games…
Dawn of War and we have the Grey Knights expansion which is my other favorite bacuse if you look at my name I am like my patron saint in that I fight against chaos and their demons. This is sort of like C&C but based upon the tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000 whic we also play here on our own terrain table.

My sons do WoW (The Outfit), CS, and some other stuff, but that’s about all I can recall.

Pax vobiscum,

The King’s Quest series, hands down, produced the greatest games ever known to computing machinery.

Simon the Sorcerer and the Monkey Island series were pretty cool two.

Yay for Murray!

Josh

Bulldog! I forgot about the Apple IIe! I LOVED lemonade-stand and also Oregon Trail.
