I want to know if there are video games out there that are “role play” that is based on the Bible. Graphics need to be excellent.Is there a video game market for that. I would love to see that.

None with excellent graphics, and none that I’m aware of without questionable (wrong) theology. It would be pretty awesome, but no, I don’t think there’s much of a market for it. Most of the people who would be willing to play a game like that are used to avoiding video games, so it’d be hard to market it. I don’t think the major companies want to make games with anything more than religious themes, anyway… 😦

If anybody does know of something like this, though, I’d definitely be interested. 🙂
 
There aren’t a lot of games based on the Bible or Christianity, no. I think with most video game companies, they want to market their games as broadly as possible to get the most money, so they try to exclude references to particular religions.

Not to mention that a lot of games come out of Japan, where Christianity doesn’t have much of a presence, while Western developers have a history of avoiding religious themes so that they don’t offend any particular denomination.

That being said, there are some games with more wholesome themes than others. I would suggest “The Neverhood”, as it has some interesting moments.
 
Id love to play an awesome catholic video game, they could make it like a Zelda video game an go through early Christianity

this has great Graphics and also check out the first one of this becuase this is the second of the series. I only have this one.

Only game that had any emphasis on our faith was the Assassins Creed games. And you had to attempt to kill the Pope at the end of the second one. Sooo yeah, probably not gonna find any games that paint religion in a positive light. Especially not Christ’s One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Not that it makes it better but the Pope you’re asked to kill is Borgia. I just finished the game not that long ago. I never played the first. I still haven’t much of an idea as to what the actual story line was … The pope at the end isn’t very popeish at all by what he says and does.

If you’re one that takes games seriously, or they really get under your skin, I’d avoid assassins creed maybe. At least the second. Can’t speak for the others I haven’t played them.
