Note: This is a Roman Catholic Church that has the Anglican Use Liturgy. If I recall the founding priest is a convert from the Anglican Church (hence why he wants to become part of the Ordinariate).
 
Wow. Would that all our English language OF Masses could be as reverent and traditional. It reminds me of the Masses between 1967 and 1970 when we still retained chant and the traditions of the EF. My cathedral parish is reverent but we do not approach this level of reverence except during the Triduum.
 
Very beautiful liturgy. Is this mass an approximation to the way the Roman Rite must have been in pre-reformation England? I don’t think that current Anglican/Episcopalian Eucharistic services are like this are they? I’ve never been to one. I thought that by Anglican use it was meant that they would use more or less the same rite they used as part of the AC but adapted to Catholic doctrine. I can’t imagine that all the Anglican parishes coming into communion with Rome would have a more “Roman” liturgy than Rome itself!

I will leave it to Dr. North to correct me if I am wrong, but the Mass would have been the same Mass as was current across the Western Church in pre-reformation England - with the exception of the Sarum Rite from the Middle Ages. Abp. Cranmer was the person responsible for the Mass in English but I do not know if the Mass we saw on Youtube is the same. Perhaps, Dr. North would know.
