What an inspiring story, her face just glows with love for her son. I shared it.

Jeez - I had to stop after 2minutes - I was expecting someone for a meeting and the tears were already coming!

I have a 14 year old with down syndrome.

It is a really sweet video, I love the way her face just lights up every time she reflects on her son or shows a picture of him. Such a peaceful smile.

I’ve still not made it to the end of the vid.

Her video reminded me that people would stare at my son, or do the double take, and then look away.

Also he has inspired me because everything was so hard for him to achieve. Just lifting his head or feeding were hard.

But he is my big strong son now and a typical teen!

And he bows deeply before he goes up to communion.

The pediatrician told me wife and me that we could leave him with them and they would feed him on demand, and he wouldn’t demand food and so soon would pass away. He told us we would have more kids and live a happier life if we walked away from our son.

We were so shocked and appalled we couldn’t respond.

We took him home ASAP.

Here he is at his first Holy Communion.

Bawling now.
Mom’s face during the video said it all. People should not be so cruel to little babies, nothing justifies that. He’s just a* baby*.

I know how she feels. Family told me I should abort my first son. The ultrasound doctor suggested I abort my second son (after the amniocintisis). I told them all to shove it.

What a HANDSOME young man you have there! Congratulations to him. I bet he is the light of your life.

👍

I was in tears by the end, what a beautiful story. You can really see how proud of her son she is and how much she loves him. I’ve shared it on facebook too.

Great video of a brave young woman who handled her circumnstances with courage and grace.
