What is it you don’t understand? Its a Mass with Gregorian Chant.please explain this video: youtube.com/watch?v=L2xX8tWaTx4&feature=related
Well, among things that might call for some explanation:
- The mile-long altar shown at the beginning, and the curious projections near each end of it,
- The tonsured monk with a wedding band at 0:36,
- The bored-looking choir (?) with pectoral tau-crosses at 0:49,
- The hug-tastic, dreamy monks at 2:36,
- Can’t they find some uniform posture for their hands, at 4:17 - 4:37, and 6:06 - 6:32?, and
- Could that sign-language interpreter in the inset box possibly do a worse job?
In 2008, in an article in the Archdiocesan paper (Archdiocese of Sao Paulo) they are listed along with Opus Dei as some of the new organizations and movements helping to increase the faith in the Archdiocese.Just looked up the “Toca de Assis” group, and am still unsure about them. I can’t really tell if they are in union w/ Rome or not. However, based on the fact that there is no specific Diocese mentioned in their history, nor anything at all about being canonical, nor anything about the Holy Father, I’m really doubtful. The very first things you usually read about religious congregations is which Bishop they were founded under, in what diocese(s) they are (not just what cities they are in), whether or not they are diocesan or pontifical, etc. No info on any of these things (that I have found). Anyone else?
