Actually, I wasn’t sure where exactly to post this question, but since this is about family anyway and the whole family sees different music videos… any reaction to Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” video? Has anyone here seen it yet…?

Well, honestly I’m not much of a music video type kinda person, especially not with the music nowadays. And not at all when it comes down to lady gaga.
But to see what you where talking about I looked it up on youtube. And found some interesting response in one of the comments.
Personally I don’t like this or her other clips. Just simple off the fact that either she wears almost nothing or she is laying in bed with some guy doing you-know-what.
And in this clip esp is I find very disturbing things, such as her wearing this latex sisterhabit, and the part where she is in bed with this guy while in the background you can see a crucifix.
But this is the comment I read. I don’t know 100% if it’s true but it would be interesting if someone else knows this…

ALEJANDRO means man’s defender n protector (GOD)
FERNANDO means ardent of peace (JESUS)
ROBERTO means bright or shining flame (HOLY SPIRIT)
BABE is d same as CHILD.

I play that song (the audio) quite often but I have never watched the complete video clip. Personally, I also don’t like her clips.

However, I like her beats. Apparently, what I like about music is just the beats (the non-vocal layer of songs). I don’t pay attention to the words.

The only three words I know in this her song are: Alehandro (spelling), Fernando and Roberto (and it’s all because of a Mexican friend of mine.)
 
So if I would make a song and make a complete fool out of you, but I put a nice beat to it… Will you like it??

Don’t get me wrong I understand what you mean, the beat is okay, it kinda got stuck in my head last night after watching it, but nevertheless I don’t like listening to it, simply because of the fact that it was obviously not only just to entertain people but also to shock people and to make a fool out of some people.

I won’t listen to it, because I don’t wanna support someone who is making a fool out of what I believe in.

(Hope this is somewhat makes sense, since English is not my native language ;))
 
You can see a discussion of the occult symbolism here: vigilantcitizen.com/?p=3979 It’s almost crazy how much Satanic, Illuminati, and Freemason symbolism she can pack into one music video, and she does it every video. She used to be more subtle but gets more blunt in her imagry every video.

The video of her American Idol performance was interesting. She has the Fallen Angel presiding over the event and blasts flames from the statue at every mention of “Alejandro”.

I can listen to any song as long as I like the beats. So if you compose a song that makes a fool of me, there is a very high possibility that I wouldn’t even notice it, since I would be interested just in the beats.
It sounds odd but that’s just it.

I can honestly say I’ve never seen a music video since college…

My teenage kids have watched old Michael Jackson videos and Prince videos. Other than that…nope, no music videos. Do they still make them?

Yep, in fact (and ironically enough) MTV this fall will relaunch the Bevis and Butthead series as a way to back door music video’s back into their programming! :rolleyes:
 
She’s doing the same thing Madonna did in the 80s. It’s nothing new. I’m not going to waste my energy getting all upset about it. There will always be someone out there attacking the Church. Getting all crazy mad about it just proves them right.
