The composer is likely unknown. This is the traditional chant setting for the Vidi Aquam – a sprinkling rite used during the Easter season.
The simple organ accompaniment is just the organist adding some chords to support the voices. I used to do that at the abbey, play simple chords under the chant, rather than playing something composed for that purpose.
It is an absolutely beautiful chant. As soon as it began I was reminded of Easter mass.
I tought that this is the track coming from CD recorder by some monks but i don’t know which monks. It’s sounds similarly to Vidi aquam from CD named Pentecote recorded by monks of St. Joseph de Clairval abbey in Flavigny ,France, but it’s not the same. I’d love to buy CD with track whick i sent in youtube link. If somebody knows who recorded this song, please let me know.
