Hello,
I have a question regarding the Liturgy of the Hours. I lead a group of men at my Parish that says Evening Prayer at our meetings. Upcoming is a Memorial for our group’s Patron Saint. We meet on the evening before this Memorial (our meetings are on Wednesday and the Memorial is Thursday). Now, I know that Memorials don’t have Evening Prayer I like Solemnities and Feasts of the Lord do, but I want to do something special for our Patron. Would it be permissible to have the opening hymn be in honor of the Saint, even though it will not be yet his feast day?
