Vigil Mass to fulfill Ascension obligation?

Hello,

I live where the Feast of the Ascension is a holy day of obligation. I attended a vigil Mass yesterday, does this satisfy the obligation? Thank you all.

What was the Mass that was celebrated? Also, are you referring to the EF or OF?
 
Can. 1248 §1. A person who assists at a Mass celebrated anywhere in a Catholic rite either on the feast day itself or in the evening of the preceding day satisfies the obligation of participating in the Mass.

Even if the Mass celebrated was Wednesday in the 6th week of Easter, it would still fulfill the obligation if it was celebrated in the evening. Either OF or EF, as well as any other Catholic Eucharistic liturgy, would fulfill the obligation for a Roman Catholic.
